The Overdrive Reports

The Overdrive trial has concluded, much to Sean Wolf's relief. In a perfect world, Sean would be able to put his feet up, have a cold beverage, and maybe catch up on some Netflix. However, that's not Sean's destiny. Instead of a much-needed vacation, Sean starts his new job for the United Nations as the leader of the Overdrive Defense Initiative (ODI) under the Official MetaHuman National Investigation Bureau of United Sovereignty (Omnibus). This new job comes with its own degree of heartaches. Sean is forced to make repeated trips to Washington D.C. to handle various issues that eventually rear their ugly head. One of which includes a potential experimental laboratory overseas in England, as reported by an underground movement of MetaHumans. Another of these new headaches, one not as ugly, is an innocent girl named April Scott, a recently activated Overdrive experiment. However, her ability is far from unwanted. April is able to cure MetaHumans of their gifts, giving them their normal lives back. Seeing this as a rather hot commodity, April offers to help cure those MetaHumans who do not wish to retain their abilities. Her benevolence is appreciated, but questions arise as to whether or not the process is indeed a safe one. Then, there's the mysterious entity rumored to be called the Overseer operating in the shadows. Without his trusted Executor, the Overseer chooses a successor to be his right hand: a young, savvy, suave, emotionally void man named Dorian Stone. Stone is tasked to take over in the late Patrick Quincy's stead and develop potential acolytes for the Overseer. Along with this, a number of MetaHumans of various power levels have recently escaped from detention facilities. Suffice it to say, Sean Wolf's first month as leader of the Overdrive Defense Initiative will be greatly tested. Hopefully, when the dust clears, the good guys under Sean's leadership will remain standing. Welcome to the second novel in the ongoing serious The Overdrive Reports.
